I worked at Blnk as a software engineer and it was the worst experience of my life. The company is run by a tyrant CTO who always shouts, trash-talks about colleagues, and forces people to work 10+ hours a day. He also watches employees from cameras and micromanages every aspect of their work. He has no respect for anyone. The code base is a mess, full of bugs, bad practices, and outdated technologies. There is no documentation, no testing, no code review, and no quality assurance. The CTO does not care about the product or the customers, he only cares about his ego and his unrealistic deadlines. He often changes the requirements and the scope of the projects without any notice or discussion. There are no seniors or mentors in the company, only juniors who are new to the working environment and they are being used by the management because they are still not familiar with how the work-life should work. There is no structure or organization, no clear roles or responsibilities, no feedback or evaluation. There is no learning or growth opportunity, only stress and frustration. The turnover rate is very high, as many people quit or get fired within weeks or months. Blnk is a toxic and abusive environment that I would not recommend to anyone. It is a waste of time and talent, and a damage to your mental health and career. Stay away from this company if you value yourself as a software engineer.
