Why avoid;
- Lower salary compared to the industry average
- Ridiculous commission structure
- False hopes of promotions, New York offices, etc
- It is a database building exercise. You are allocated a list of companies which you have to call day in, day out
- No respect for client privacy, even if somebody asks to be opted out of the call list, they keep them in the database
- You report to your manager 3 times day
- Micromanaged
- No lunch until you make at least 10 cold calls
- 20 mins to go and get lunch, you are then 'encouraged' to eat it at your desk, oh and somebody has to go with you.
