Pros

Training was hands-on. Dan, the manager of the company is a nice guy and was approachable. You have the ability to get promoted (standards are all based on numbers)

Cons

Office Culture was upbeat, but it felt very odd with all of the high-fives and chanting. Some people may enjoy this, but it wasn't for me. There were no benefits (you're w2), but there's no vacation, travel or gas reimbursement. It's tough standing in a big-box retailer and stopping every person to ask them about cable. I felt like we were way too pushy with customers, and that style of selling is just not for everyone. Work Hours: You work every weekend from 11-9pm and you don't get holidays off because those are the "best" selling days. Salary Draw is not the same thing as Salary. If you don't sell enough, you end up owing the company money and then they take it off your next pay check. They have low hiring standards. People can't even afford to wear proper attire, so you're expected to bring in extra suit jackets to provide to people you don't know?

We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and while some are true I will correct some misguided statements. Our office culture is definitely upbeat and exciting. We are completely unapologetic for this and if you cannot enjoy this type of environment then enjoy your boring and unexciting job. Yes, employees are w2 employees just like about 90% of other all positions in the United States. We do offer benefits. Employees can take vacation time but will not be paid for it until management. We do offer travel opportunities and we reimburse 100% for any travel expenses incurred that are not already covered by Blue Chip Endeavors in advance. Of course what we do is tough and we also never sugar coat this, but nothing worth having will come easy. What we do if done right is not pushy, but of course this style of sales and marketing is not for everyone. The work hours mentioned are incorrect and we only work 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. Anyone can get a weekend off any time if they let us know in advance. We work two holidays a year because they are “retail holidays.” All other holidays we get the day off. Not everyone is on the same compensation structure and compensation is negotiable after someone has proven themselves a valued contributor to the team. Everyone is at a minimum paid an hourly rate for the amount of hours they work and can earn much more in commissions and bonuses. We have very high standards for those individuals we offer positions to. Although it is required that team members within our office dress professionally, we would never deny someone with the right skills to be successful in this position an opportunity because they do not own a suit coat or any other clothing item within reason. We also would never nor will ever ask someone to offer these team members a suit jacket. Let me post why Blue Chip Endeavors exists and add in capitals for this circumstance an additional exception: “Blue Chip Endeavors exists to provide opportunity. That opportunity isn’t limited to only those who have: a bachelor’s degree, A SUIT COAT JACKET, 2-5 years experience or any specific demographic; however, it is limited to those who are willing to work extremely hard at times for their success and the success of other team members. For those who work hard and are dedicated to Blue Chip Endeavors, we are committed to expansion with them and creating generational wealth for them and their families. We create that opportunity and growth ourselves by bringing our clients their most loyal new customers and increased profits. Our work hard, play hard mentality also ensures that team members are able to celebrate their successes with others through travel opportunities, networking, and philanthropy efforts.” Our second round interview (if someone is offered one) is 2 hours long and actually shows someone exactly what a candidate will do in the day to day if they are offered a position. I think this is very transparent. This is Dan Bazuin the owner of Blue Chip Endeavors. My wife is the HR director because she is as passionate about Blue Chip Endeavors growth and works as hard for us as anyone. I have an open door policy and anyone can approach me with anything they need at any time. Anyone else who is close to us who works for Blue Chip Endeavors is here because they understand the opportunity and they want to be a part of that opportunity. As mentioned in the review under the pros it says manager Dan(me) is approachable. I agree with you on this but you contradict yourself by saying you cannot approach the HR director about any “actual issues.” That is not her responsibility it is mine and since I was approachable you should have been able to bring these up to me. Thanks again for your review and we wish you the best in your futures “jobs.”

Pros

Dan is a good guy but makes it sound much better than it is.

Cons

To start, the job title to apply for online are all worded differently. For example, entry level sales rep and account manager are two. They make it sound like there is more than one type of position when in reality it is all the same exact job. You stand in Best buy or Walmart and try to bribe people to buy DirectTV. Customers go to these stores for something in particular not trying to get sold an unwanted product. You work weekends when Best Buy or Walmart is most busy.

LOL! This reviewer says they are a current employee but... obviously hasn't worked for Blue Chip Endeavors. We do work with several retailers here in the Detroit Metro area and beyond but Best Buy is not one of them. We have not worked in Best Buys for over a year. If you have worked for us anytime recently you would know that. I don't feel that any of our job titles are misleading because as an Account Manager we do sales, marketing, and customer service for our customers. If you read more than just the titles themselves you would realize that. If you consider offering our customers the best promotions they can get anywhere as bribery, then we are guilty. We are also guilty of providing our customers with the best experience possible as their personal Account Managers and of bringing DIRECTV their most loyal customers. We do work many weekends just like doctors, the world's most successful entrepreneurs, best athletes, and entertainers. We are willing to do the things now other people won't to get things in the future other people can't. If you were a part of our company for any period of time you would also know that the opportunity is actually better than I make it sound during the interview. You would find out that much of our team has been with us for years and that we hire because we are an expanding company that continues to expand to new markets and to represent new clients. I'm sorry you're bitter you weren't offered a position with our company, you are welcome to reapply with our company in the future.

Pros

You wear suits in the office. Trips and bonuses for best sale people.

Cons

DO NOT QUIT!! YOUR OTHER JOB!! FOR THIS ONE!! TELL THEM YOU WANT TO TRY IT OUT ON YOUR OFF DAYS OR YOU'LL HAVE NO JOB IF ITS NOT WHAT YOU THOUGHT. DURING THE 2nd ROUND INTERVIEW ASK IF YOU CAN STICK AROUND WITH WHO EVER IS AT THE TABLE FOR A LITTLE LONGER. IMAGINE YOU DOING THAT FOR 6 HOURS A DAY. -Very poor training. Like the title says you are either going to sink or swim. Not much to the job but the time training could be a lot better. One day of in office training (4 hours) then the next day you are in store. You can't sale if you don't know the numbers and prices of the stuff you are selling or what the tv options are. -Morning dance circles and unnecessary chanting. Time should be spent training. -Pay structure, base pay is an advance on commissions so you have to pay back all the base pay you get. -Standing all day. -Driving to office then your store depending on where you live could be far. -In my opinion. They sell you on getting this job like they sale Direct Tv to customers, it's not as good as they make it sound.
