Pros

A dedicated team of professionals - outside of management

Cons

If I could give Blue Meta a zero-star rating, I would. This company is an absolute disaster, and I wouldn't wish working here on my worst enemy. The level of dysfunction and toxicity that permeates this organization is nothing short of astounding. Let's start with the utter lack of trust that exists within the company. Every employee is treated with suspicion, assumed to be out to sabotage the company at every turn. The constant monitoring and surveillance make employees feel like they are under a microscope, suffocating any motivation to excel or take initiative. Instead of fostering a supportive and empowering environment, the management team thrive on instilling fear and paranoia. Micromanagement is the company's middle name. At Blue Meta, you'll never experience the power of making decisions for yourself or feeling like a capable professional. No, you're just a pawn in the hands of control-freak managers who believe that only they know how things should be done. It's no wonder that creativity and innovation have taken a nosedive - they're promptly squashed by the heavy-handed management before they can even take root. And let's not forget the absurd cult of productivity that runs rampant here. Quality is an alien concept; the only thing that matters is how many tasks employees can churn out in a day. There's no time for thoughtful problem-solving or attention to detail because employees are too busy racing against the clock to meet unrealistic expectations. A recipe for burnout and shoddy work. Ah, the meetings - the epitome of inefficiency at Blue Meta. You will spend more time sitting in pointless meetings than actually getting any real work done. These gatherings are nothing but a breeding ground for inane discussions, irrelevant tangents, and egotistical displays of sociopathic behaviour specifically by the ‘CEO’. Time would be better spent banging your head against a wall because at least that way, you might knock some sense into this company. Blue Meta is a sinking ship, drowning in a sea of distrust, micromanagement, productivity madness, and meeting mayhem. It's a soul-crushing place to work, where passion goes to die, and creativity is squashed like a bug. If you value your sanity and professional growth, run in the opposite direction and never look back. For the sake of any poor soul considering employment here, stay far away and spare yourself from the misery that is Blue Meta.

Pros

- Met some amazing co workers

Cons

I worked at BlueMeta for a considerable period, and I must say that it was an overwhelmingly negative experience. The toxic work environment at this company is nurtured and maintained by the CEO and CMO, who seem oblivious to the detrimental effects it has on the employees. Here are the key issues I encountered: 1. CEO's Temper: The CEO has a volatile temper, which creates an atmosphere of constant tension and anxiety. This behavior is highly unprofessional and demoralizing for the entire team. 2. Fear Tactics: Instead of fostering a positive work culture, the leadership at BlueMeta relies on fear tactics to motivate the staff. Employees are constantly on edge, fearing retribution for minor mistakes or perceived shortcomings. 3. High Turnover Rates: The company boasts an alarming customer turnover rate of over 80% and an employee turnover rate of more than 70%. These numbers speak volumes about the dissatisfaction and lack of trust within the organization. 4. Outsourcing and Lack of Quality Control: BlueMeta outsources all digital optimization tasks to the Philippines without reviewing the work, resulting in poor quality deliverables. Consequently, clients become disillusioned and leave. 5. Deceptive Sales Tactics: The company misleadingly presents itself as experts in various tasks to secure client contracts. However, the truth is that the team often has to resort to watching YouTube videos to educate themselves on these tasks, highlighting a severe lack of expertise. 6. Poor Treatment of Top Performers: Surprisingly, the top performers in the company are often treated the worst. Their hard work and dedication go unrecognized, leading to demotivation and a sense of undervaluation. 7. Lack of Focus on Quality: The company demonstrates a complete disregard for quality. Instead of prioritizing excellence, BlueMeta appears solely concerned with its bottom line. This approach compromises the integrity of the work delivered to clients. 8. Micromanagement: Every task is excessively micromanaged, stifling creativity and innovation among the employees. This level of control hampers productivity and makes it difficult to work efficiently. 9. Disparaging Remarks in Meetings: In meetings, I have witnessed company leaders speaking poorly about fellow team members. Such unprofessional behavior fosters a toxic and divisive work environment.

Pros

Despite the issues present, Blue Meta does provide some positives. The company operates in a fast-paced, dynamic sector that presents plenty of opportunities for gaining industry-specific knowledge and skills. Employees have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, providing exposure to various facets of digital marketing and technology. This, coupled with the chance to interact with a wide array of clients across industries, could be beneficial for those looking to broaden their professional horizons.

Cons

I spent a significant amount of time working at Blue Meta, and it's only fair that potential future employees receive an unfiltered perspective. The company's leadership, comprised of the CEO and CMO, have a style that breeds a tense environment, often bordering on toxic. It's not unusual to find employees navigating their way around the CEO's fiery temper, which isn't conducive to professional growth. Their approach to motivation has been largely fear-based, maintaining an atmosphere that keeps employees constantly on edge, concerned about potential fallout from minor errors. This is a tactic that undermines the potential for a positive and supportive work culture. Their primary concern seems to be its bottom line, often at the expense of delivering quality work. The owners unyielding quest for profits not only undermines the quality of services provided to clients, but also places undue pressure and dissatisfaction among staff members. The management's insistence on micromanaging every task is another issue, often suffocating workflow and hampering productivity. It's a frustrating experience for employees seeking to bring innovation to their work. Unprofessional behavior, including negative comments about colleagues during meetings, is unfortunately not uncommon. This contributes to a divisive work atmosphere and is deeply demoralizing. The ownership displays a disconcerting lack of regard for its employees, particularly when it comes to handling departures. Announcements are often delayed until an employee's last day, creating unnecessary surprise and confusion among the staff. There's an unsettling absence of appreciation or acknowledgement for the departing individuals, an even blatant dismissal of their hard work and contributions, making remaining staff feel undervalued and replaceable. Glaring indicators of dissatisfaction within the company are both the staff and client turn-over. It raises questions about the company's ability to build lasting relationships with clients and staff. Lastly, the company's reluctance to learn from its mistakes is perhaps the most worrying aspect. A pervasive ego seems to prevent meaningful change, fostering a stagnant work culture. In summary, my advice for any potential employee would be to approach Blue Meta with caution. The challenging work environment, coupled with questionable leadership practices and high turnover rates, raises serious concerns. Please carefully consider these points when deciding on your future at Blue Meta.
