Toxic work environment but you'll learn a lot

Pros

A great deal of hands-on learning opportunities in a fast paced work environment; provides an excellent foundation of knowledge and breadth of experience for an insurance career. Creative problem-solving is encouraged to solve unique dilemmas rarely seen at larger companies. The majority of the employees are eager to learn and there is a good sense of camaraderie. Catered lunches and regular office outings are a perk.

Cons

Office culture promotes good ol' boy attitudes and behaviors that are deeply unsafe for women and minorities, compensation does not reflect the poor work-life balance demanded of you and is based on favoritism rather than merit, and customs of nepotism, gossip, and deceptiveness run rampant and are implemented from the top down. Managers perpetuate and encourage the unhealthy environment and this is modeled after the CEO's own behavior.

Pros

A lot of young people in office & lunch catering was nice.

Cons

Not a safe place to work as a woman. Male managers & leaders are inappropriate in office and at company outings.

Pros

The company culture is relatively young and energetic

Cons

A truly toxic work environment. The male managers are creepy. They pay a good bit but put you in golden handcuffs by never promoting their employees.
