Pros

Co-workers are exceptionally caring and dedicated. Overall friendly environment. Management does seem to support worker's family life. Gives back to the community and charity is encouraged.

Cons

Senior Management is basically a "good ol' boys club". Promotions come from management preferences. Many people are overlooked and their talent is disregarded, unless you are young and attractive.Getting respect really depends on who you are in the eyes of Sr. Mgmt..

IT leadership is horrible

Pros

Health, dental and vision benefits, perks, free meals, nice office building, covered parking,

Cons

Expected to regularly work 50 to 60 hour weeks with no ability to hire help (unless you work in project management). Senior IT leadership plays favorites within the department building resentment. Senior IT leadership micromanages down to individual employees without talking to their managers. Senior IT leadership has no idea what it takes to implement the technology being requested and will not trust the experienced middle managers to do their jobs. This has resulted in several talented people leaving. The company prides itself on being 'family oriented' but that seems to have been forgotten in the pursuit of expansion and profit.

With Pros there are always Cons

Pros

If you are close to retirement age, this is definitely the place. They harbor a "don't do too much" work environment. Great stepping stone for new college grads to get real cut throat experience outside of academia, in the real world and in the food industry. Pay is decent. Bonuses are fair. Management does not breathe down your neck.

Cons

Not the best place for the experienced, no teamwork atmosphere, no cohesiveness within departments, extremely "gossipy" atmosphere from top down, covert management members (lower & high level) run the company in a cliquish fashion, small company with minimal layers of management so you cannot bypass obstinacy and egoism, little tuition reimbursement, they abhor change even if it benefits them, little to no chance of advancement.
