Pros

Health, dental and vision benefits, perks, free meals, nice office building, covered parking,

Cons

Expected to regularly work 50 to 60 hour weeks with no ability to hire help (unless you work in project management). Senior IT leadership plays favorites within the department building resentment. Senior IT leadership micromanages down to individual employees without talking to their managers. Senior IT leadership has no idea what it takes to implement the technology being requested and will not trust the experienced middle managers to do their jobs. This has resulted in several talented people leaving. The company prides itself on being 'family oriented' but that seems to have been forgotten in the pursuit of expansion and profit.

Pros

free lunch, discounts on products, hours were 7-3 which allowed for a quick day

Cons

15 days of PTO, no sick days, zero flexibility to work from home, poor leadership, underpaid, misogynistic culture My experience at Boar’s Head ultimately led me to conclude that there was little opportunity for growth, inconsistent leadership, and a workplace culture that tolerated behavior I found unprofessional and, at times, discriminatory. The biggest lesson I learned at Boar’s Head is that hard work and loyalty are not enough when leadership has already decided who will and will not be given opportunities.
