Pros

One of Boardingware's core values is to "leave your honest thoughts on the table". As a small (but growing) company, everyone is encouraged to speak up when something could be done more effectively -- and the team truly listen and grow because of it. Problem solving and creativity are highly valued, and it's rewarding to see the company respond to feedback, compared with working in a giant corp where you're just another cog in the machine.

Cons

After working in Auckland head office for 3 years, I moved to Sydney to help drive sales here. This means that I'm working alone (in a shared space) and do miss the team somewhat. This is only a minor negative because the company is so good at scheduling online catch-ups and regular events to maintain the company culture across the different office locations.

Pros

Orah is a great place to work if you're looking for a healthy work-life balance and a supportive team environment. The leadership actively promotes innovation, especially in AI, and encourages learning and experimentation. The people here are genuinely collaborative and kind, which makes everyday work enjoyable.

Cons

Some roles can become a bit monotonous over time depending on your team or function. There's room for introducing more variety or stretch projects to keep things fresh.
