Pros

Leave a tech job and get pigeon holed here with the promise of remote first culture

Cons

Very toxic people in the company, They churn people squeeze them like lemons when you ask for advancements they say sorry not possible. They will promise you bonuses then at the last minute say you should be working hard because we are a family. Terrible terrible place to work. So much trauma for staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As the HR Manager at Boast Capital, I'm truly saddened to hear about your experience, and I take your concerns seriously. We strive to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment, and it's clear we have important work to do to meet these goals for all our team members. Regarding the remote-first culture, we are committed to maintaining flexibility and support for our team's diverse needs. It's disheartening to learn that this promise felt unfulfilled, and I will personally ensure we reassess our policies to better serve our team. Addressing your concerns about the work environment, please know that fostering a positive and respectful workplace is paramount to us. We are actively working on initiatives to enhance our company culture and ensure our values are lived out through our actions. This includes reviewing our advancement and recognition programs to ensure they are transparent, fair, and reflective of our team's hard work and dedication. We understand that we cannot undo the experiences you've had, but we are committed to learning from them and making necessary changes. Your feedback is invaluable as it helps us identify areas for improvement. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your experiences further and invite you to reach out to me directly at jvibert@boastcapital.com. Thank you again for your honesty. We are here to support our team and are dedicated to improving based on the feedback you and others provide. Sincerely, Jennifer Vibert HR Manager

Pros

Lots of flexibility when it comes to working conditions

Cons

As a consulting based company, they mistakenly saw themselves as a leading edge software product company. This lead to a large division of priorities that neglects one part of the company for another.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for the time you spent with us at Boast Capital. I want to express my appreciation for your feedback, which provides us with valuable insights into our team's experience. Your comments on the company's identity and management direction are particularly noteworthy. It's clear that our vision and operational alignment have room for improvement, especially in balancing our dual focus on consulting and software product development. Recognizing this, we are taking steps to clarify our strategic priorities and ensure that all parts of our business receive the attention and resources they deserve. Our goal is to not only align our internal efforts but also to more clearly communicate our direction and commitments to our team. The flexibility in working conditions you mentioned as a positive is something we're proud of and aim to continue as we work through these challenges. However, we acknowledge that flexibility alone isn't enough to address the concerns you've raised. Your advice to management to "do better" is a call to action that I personally take to heart. We are committed to ongoing improvement and are actively seeking ways to enhance our leadership and strategic focus. I would greatly value the opportunity to hear more about your experiences and any suggestions you might have for how we can improve. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at jvibert@boastcapital.com. Again, thank you for your honesty and for contributing to our company's growth, even after your departure. Your feedback is crucial as we strive to make Boast Capital not only a leader in our industry but also a supportive and cohesive place to work. Sincerely, Jennifer Vibert HR Manager

Pros

Save money on commute since the job is remote

Cons

The work itself is quite predictable. Nothing exciting and not much to learn. Management keeps changing and upper management just makes things up as they go. They make promises, but cannot follow through. Compensation is lower than industry standard.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences at Boast Capital. I am grateful for your honest feedback, which is crucial for our growth and improvement. It's encouraging to hear that our remote work policy has offered you savings and convenience in terms of commuting. However, I'm genuinely concerned about your feelings of predictability and lack of excitement in your work. We strive to create a dynamic and stimulating environment where our team can thrive, learn, and grow. To address this, we are looking into more diverse project assignments and continuous learning opportunities to ensure our team remains engaged and challenged. Your comments on management and leadership changes, along with the perception of ad-hoc decision-making, highlight a need for more stability and strategic clarity. We are committed to improving our communication and decision-making processes to ensure that changes are more predictable and aligned with our long-term goals. Additionally, we aim to make our goal-setting and follow-through processes more transparent, so our team can see the direct impact of their work on our collective success. Regarding compensation, we recognize the importance of offering competitive packages that reflect the value our team members bring to Boast Capital. We are currently reviewing our compensation strategy to ensure it aligns with industry standards and adequately rewards the hard work and dedication of our team. Your advice to take feedback seriously is well received. We are not only committed to listening but also to acting on the feedback we receive. I would value the opportunity to hear more from you directly about how we can make Boast Capital a more inspiring and fulfilling place to work. Please feel free to reach out to me at jvibert@boastcapital.com. Thank you once again for your feedback. It's conversations like these that pave the way for meaningful changes and improvements at Boast Capital. Sincerely, Jennifer Vibert HR Manager
