The management has to bribe and suck up to machinery manufacturers just to get new equipment in on lease terms. (Nothing in the factory is owned outright, unless it’s 15 years old!) Toolroom management is a total weasel (and that’s being unfair to weasels), constantly protecting the longest serving toolmakers who are also the worst! When new tooling is made it is always welded as a toolmaker with no actual skill can’t be trusted with a needle file let alone a surface grinder. The last tool was 2 months late, welded 4 times before T0 trial and then 4 times more after trials, and still counting! The toolmaker has had numerous people complain of its conduct and shouting at other staff for no reason. Yet when this is brought up the Toolroom management always brushes it under the carpet. No wonder They are so arrogant! Staff turnover is very high especially in the Toolroom, approximately 1 replacement every 12 months in a 4 man Toolroom. Avoid like the plaque if you have integrity for your career!
