Working at Boden was literally the worst time of my life. They want the world to think that they are all about empowerment and diversity when in reality they are constantly criticizing and backstabbing you. It does not matter how much effort you put into a project - even when the client recognizes it and congratulates you for it - the owner of this company will still find ways to criticize your work, only congratulating her favorite employees. This place is like a really bad high school, the owner picks her favorites and only congratulates and promotes those that are as fake as her and those who are always sucking up to her. They want to be a creative agency so bad but they all act like stuck up girls, who by the way, have zero class.

The BODEN leadership team does a poor job of distributing tools and resources to its employees which leaves team members susceptible to burnout. During my time at the company, I have witnessed a team as small as two people work on a national campaign consisting of influencer relations, media relations, event planning and management, etc. Large projects and campaigns are not equipped efficiently leading to many employees feeling burnt out. When employees ask leadership for more support, help comes late or not at all. BODEN leaders are disconnected with their employees. Because of this, I witnessed employees expressing mistrust in their leaders; thus, not expressing their concern. They preach about being a family and trusting their employees, but their behaviors shows signs of micromanaging, gaslighting and indifference. My advice: join the team, garner your experience and make connections with clients. Once BODEN's negative behaviors begin to affect your health, confidence and livelihood, leave.
