Dog eat Dog Company...

Pros

Competitive pay, with decent benefits package.

Cons

This place literally couldn't care less about individuals. They have a grand dog and pony show, all about their core values and opportunity, etc. But there is absolutely no loyalty to individual employees. You really can't expect a firm to bleed for its employees, fair enough. But at the same time, Bohler will gently guide you into a lifestyle where you are consistently working 12-15 hour days, until that becomes the expectation. The moment you decide to reclaim your life- you are now on the bubble. Forever. There's a constant threat of failure and disappointment hanging over your head. You're only as good as your last miracle at this place. And it's setup to keep you moving at a frantic pace. Everything is an emergency, and due fifteen minutes ago. Honest deadlines aren't a thing. The managers are all self-serving- and will gladly sell you to a butcher shop if it means a promotion. Nobody cares about anybody there. Bohler is literally a corporate machine, full of apathetic robots and fake smiles. It's run by an in-crowd fraternity of bros and yuppies. Stay away. There are plenty of human firms out there.

Lots of stress, little pay.

Pros

The office had plenty of parking.

Cons

Long hours, little pay and disorganized "leaders". The principal would walk around with a baseball bat, bragging about getting drunk every single night. It was pathetic that they let someone like this run an office. He would get drunk at night and start editing CAD files thinking he knew what he was doing only to mess everything up. CAD designers would spend hours fixing his screw ups. Team leader would forget he promised a client a prelim site plan until one hour before it was due and then blame his designers when it wasn't done on time. Edit: Bohler noticed my review and is harassing me trying to get me to remove it.

Pros

The clients that hire Bohler are more genuine and kind then Bohler folks themselves.

Cons

The CEO did what he had to in order to take Lud Bohler's company. He stepped on and used people and tossed them aside. Management, including CEO is a good old boys club. No matter if you work hard, have the clients raving over you, if you're not apart of that elitist circle you're not going to last. Oh, and if and when they do get rid of you, bet they'll either talk about you when you leave (even if they're in the wrong for letting you go) or they'll blackball your name. Yes, quite a few folks have been blackballed by this new CEO. No pay/underpaid to the extreme unless you're in the club. No diverse staff whatsoever. Admin are condensing older woman who will make younger admins cry if something is done differently but produces the same result. Yes, managers will ask you for a ride to pickup their rental vehicles and more junk...and getting a reimbursement on mileage for that isn't worth having them in your car. Even if you do your job, go above and beyond, answer your phone/email after a 9hr day or on the weekend, you're not worth anything to them...look at the staff that's still there...those are the men (yes, men) that are apart of the click that kicks you in if they don't deem you worthy.
