This person worked for the firm for about a week, maybe less. The marketing manager recommended the termination due to poor performance. Clearly the individual is disgruntled that the role did not work out for him. I don't think this person ever spoke to the CEO once after the interview. Bond Consulting has been in business for almost 20 years, and the CEO is a graduate of one of the top business schools in the world. Through the marketing efforts designed by the CEO, the company has doubled in size 2020, and in 2022-2023, is set to double again. After the launch of the marketing campaign, the firm began to acquire 1 new client a day.

Good place to work for easy-going self-starters

Pros

- Small, flexible company that is very results focused so, if you are able to hack it and bring in results, you can get good bonuses and no one will really bug you. - Well-informed sets of processes to follow, high level of internal know-how, good client-base and good industry reputation. - Great place to work right out of school. You will be given lots of responsibility and exposure to a wide range of industries and business professionals . - If you are self-motivated, you can learn a lot working here.

Cons

- Training is 'learn-as-you-go' and 'trial-by-fire', so you have to be a self-starter and pick things up quickly and independently. Not uncommon for a company of this size, I suppose. - Biggest issue is the president. She is good at her trade, but the same qualities that allow her to get positive results in tax disputes make her very difficult to work with directly. Her expectations and plans can shift quickly, sometimes contradicting her past directives, and she will expect everyone to adjust immediately. - In my experience, people with an easy-going personality did well here and those who didn't clashed with the president's personality and/or management style.

The President hasn't managed the staff directly for years. We have had a top notch office manager, a VP of Sales, and a Department Manager for a long time.

Pros

Genuine growth opportunities, extremely supportive management and co-workers, very interesting work. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to be part of the Bond team.

Cons

I cannot think of a single con to report.
