Pros

Colleagues, and work-life balance, good social life with immediate team.

Cons

Office condition is terrible, Management seemed to be focused on the bottom line, and keeping open international offices that contiune impacting the UK business. They claim to have a strategy, it changes on the whim of the CEO. Letting people go to reduce costs, putting people in charge of areas they are not technically competent in.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We actively seek feedback at Bovill and are keen to address any concerns from the team. I’m glad you enjoy working with your colleagues and feel you have a good work life balance at Bovill. And I appreciate you sharing your view that you’ve not been happy with some of the decisions we’ve taken recently. We realise that we don’t get everything right – few organisations do. But we do care. We feel everyone at Bovill contributes to the success and profit of the firm. And achieving an acceptable bottom line is essential to our continued growth and success. We are one firm and support to our overseas offices is an integral part of this. Every six months we bring the global Bovill team together in London to share our plans and seek input, both on our long term strategy and our working culture. When we do this later this month, I will make sure there are opportunities to share concerns like these in an appropriate environment. I am keen that everyone at Bovill feels able to voice their concerns, and to suggest ways that we can collectively address them. Ben Blackett-Ord, CEO

Pros

If any of the below applies to you, you will enjoy working at Bovil: Flexibility: because the company direction, structure, and staff change regularly you learn to be flexible Integrity: you can check it in reception before you begin your day or do any work for clients because you will not need it. Actually it will act as a barrier to your success in the firm.. Quite strange for a company built on the basis of providing solutions to companies needing help with regulatory matters Big company feel: if you can tolerate opacity from management and decisions taken on a whim, because it’s a big four wannabe with the salary budget and strategy of a fun fair Social: there’s always rumours circulating and whispering so you will never be lacking an opportunity to gossip and there is frequently leaving drinks Competitiveness: synonymous in this context with back stabbing Entrepreneurship: this word gets used regularly. Be prepared to hear it but have no context in regards to its applicability

Cons

Leaving a properly run organisation people have heard of to come work here
