My experience at BreastScreen Victoria was deeply disappointing due to ongoing harassment and bullying by a manager, which made the workplace environment highly challenging. This manager has had a series of previous complaints against them. Despite raising concerns with HR and the Director, I felt unsupported and unheard, which added to the distress. Managers also frequently attacked each other in meetings and then debrief with their staff! Creating an embarrassing and unsafe atmosphere for employees to witness.

No monetary benefits or tangible rewards for good work. The management is quite bureaucratic, decisions take too long, there’s a lot of micro management and there’s no concrete direction. There’s always too much work and most deadlines are unreasonable. The directors and managers seem out of touch with day to day operations and there’s amount of work involved.
