Pros

There are some great employees who are dedicated and make for a good work environment.

Cons

Very poor pay if you aren't in management (even then, most managers are wildly underpaid). Poor benefits, poor communication (locally and company-wide). They are inundated with lawsuits from former and current employees (unfair pay, changes in exempt/non-exempt status), blatant gender bias, sexual harassment. If you live in an area where people still depend on the newspaper as their ONLY source of news, you might stand a chance of success at this company. Unlike MOST newspaper companies in the US they are doing absolutely nothing to compete online, either journalistically or revenue wise. There is really nothing positive to say about this company.

Pros

Family-owned company; very employee oriented; management very loyal to employees who are hardworking and ethical.

Cons

Unfortunately, industry as a whole is struggling but owners still committed to providing products to small communities with little other options available. Because of the current economy, company not able to be as generous as they once were with benefits.

Pros

I'm sorry but there aren't any with the exception of earning a paycheck and leaving at the end of the day.

Cons

Culture of intimidation and fear. No real management. Antiquated systems. Must cower to survive. So tense employees do not speak to each other.
