This company is a joke

Pros

Staff discount (50% off on drinks)

Cons

Tragic management. They’ll literally pay you the minimum wage expecting you to work 45h a week and supervise the store (cashing up, rotas etc.). Managers don’t earn much more than the minimum wage, after doing my research, average salary of the managers is £21k (THAT’S WHY THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE). Many Health and safety issues!!!!! You’re expected to carry VERY heavy items like tapioca pot with 9l of water and tapioca in it, lift it up and empty the liquid in the sink, carrying the tea containers that are above your head etc. Can’t wait for the H&S and food h&s to see this place.

Pros

I got to work on a diverse variety of projects. The company is rapidly expanding, so each brief was refreshingly different from the last.

Cons

Please do not skim past this review. If you are thinking of working for this company in a role away from the customer facing side of the business, I would seriously urge you to reconsider. I was excited to join this company and was enthusiastic about what I could bring, but in the end my experience with Bubble CiTea was almost completely negative, for reasons I will list below: - Out the gate, all company comms take place over WhatsApp. There is no concern for the fact that you have to use your personal WhatsApp account for communication. - The CEO ('Sunny') insists on having a hand in seemingly every aspect of the company, meaning that there is no delegation. As such, broad, ill-defined tasks are set by him, then interpreted by management, then executed by people like me. Once the task is completed, the process is then reversed - when the result reaches Sunny, it is invariably rejected on grounds that were never set out in the first place due to the vagueness of his instructions. This process repeats ad nauseam, day in, day out. - Management are exceptionally critical, often to the point of rudeness. Whilst I don't believe that this rudeness is intentional, the focus on results and productivity means that there is very little in the way of positive support. Rather, tasks are criticised and jabbed at until their result is reached. I felt almost constantly demoralised when submitting creative work; if you're looking for somewhere where you will be supported with your efforts being built upon and positively reinforced, this is not the place for you. - Most of your time will be taken up with a guessing-game of what management wants in order to please the CEO; more often than not, your efforts will be in vain as people change their minds. Expect plenty of your time to be wasted. - There is a FIRM 'us and them' culture when it comes to office vs. remote working. I joined Bubble CiTea as a fully home-based worker, and thus was never privy to the ad-hoc conversation that took place in the office. - Despite being assured by the marketing department that I was 'on the same level' as them, I was never once invited to any of the many meetings that took place. Nor was I ever notified of them taking place; my team would instead just go dark for 45 minutes with no explanation of where they were, or when they would return. - When I handed in my notice to BubbleCitea, it was acknowledged by one of my team members. "Sorry to hear that." was the response, before continuing on to set me another task. I sincerely hope that you stay away from this company until they make some major, major changes to their management structure and modes of functioning. When I would update friends about the goings-on during my role, I was often told that they had never heard of such a poorly-structure working environment. There is plenty of room for this company to grow, learn, and change, but for now, just don't go near.

The Company was not supporting at all.

Cons

-Ceo Sunny is a money hungry person and does not care about hygiene at all -Employees are never paid the correct amount of wage on time -Hygiene is zero and cupboard contain flies -Had complaints from customers that there were flies in their drinks which was true because the ingredients are sweet and never covered even after staff had expressed concerns to the head office
