Fun but long hours

Pros

The Company enjoys putting on fun events for their employees, including most expenses paid weekend retreats, as well as birthday celebrations and other life events such as engagements and arrivals of babies of employees/spouses. They also offer free catered lunches every day to employees and dinners for those working the later shifts. They are also good at acknowledging employees' good work and achievements on a regular basis at the weekly company meeting.

Cons

The flip side of the pros is that most employees would rather be paid more (the hours required are long and usually require one or more hours of 'mandatory' overtime) - as events such as weekend retreats do not benefit all employees, especially those with families or for those who do not subscribe to such events and activities geared toward a younger crowd. Depending on how busy/how much work there is, it can be a pretty stressful environment, but, such is the life in the entertainment field.

Pros

Overtime Pay, free dinner pre-covid

Cons

How do I start: -They preach inclusivity, yet promote a white straight man to "Mr. President" of the company. Believe me, they actually call him that. -They willfully promote men to CD positions while overlooking very hard working women and only promoting them to ACD. -They refuse to hire BizDev workers, Acct Managers, PMs. -They rolled back the salaries of ADs, Producers, and EPs to what they were making ten years ago. Some ADs make as much as production artists do. They do not plan on returning their salaries back. -If you have an original idea, please get ready for multiple layers of bureaucracy that will squash that and you'll get back into the hole of "how can i make this movie trailer cool"

Company Culture Gone

Pros

They do provide lunch, but with that come late nights, demanding deadlines and working with producers at Buddha that clearly have anger issues and don't know how to communicate with the staff.

Cons

The company has changed a lot over the years and not for the good. Management does not care about there employees unless they are bring in clients. And if you are one of those employees that bring in clients, it gives you permission to treat your co workers who work beneath you with little to no respect. Work life balance is nonexistant. I've worked nights, weekends, and holidays and never once did I get a thank you.
