Pros
- Some great people working for the company - Parking - Busy - Great start up story. It was a family owned business that cares (shame it's been lost)
Cons
- Initially all jobs seem to be great, fun an exciting however this quickly ended and the truth became clear. - When being employeed it seems that you are "sold the dream" - You are told you will have a voice and be able to do what you are employeed to do. This unfortunately isn't the case due to the branch manager who has been described as a bully stopping you and controlling eveything. - Previous employees in the sale team who have left have said they are given targets and are not paid their commission. A reason would always be made up before the pay cut off day with little time to query this. In other cases the targets would be changed without them being discussed or agreed. Again this was decided by the branch manager. - I was told a employee that worked for the business previously was pushed out the business as they needed a long term leave due to a family member having an illness. -Whist I was there a colleagues parents both where ill and he was not supported by the business and left. The business has no empathy or compassion. - The atmosphere was unworkable and uncomfortable. The stress levels are incredibly high. Over 60% of in office staff have had stress related illnesses. - Ridiculous staff turnover - Staff would be turned against one another and be spoken about in one to ones about one another in a negative manner from management. - Employees are expected to go above and beyond and are not rewarded or acknowledged. - People are treated unfairly. Generally the last one in is the flavour of the month. - Due to two members of management working closely together and the branch manager only communicating negative results there is no room for progression. - Organic growth in the business in rare unless you are the branch manager. - Big accounts are taken off surveyors and only done by branch manager or MD.
