Pros

Flexible Hours with top of pay grade

Cons

The company emphasizes it's wanting-ness to eradicate racism and other oppressive patriarchal systems, all while being run by white men and women. I have seen changes in contracts, placements, and harmful changes to documents to gain more federal money. The company is greedy and on a direct service level, families are not being heard or valued. The lower positions who mind you are the closest representation of people we serve are devalued and are treated like the families served. Which leads me to they treatment of peoples served. The staff are mostly white and are people without any lived experience that would help them serve clients in a holistic and graceful way. Families and people served by this company are therein treated through a patriarchal lens so white people can feel better about themselves for creating such inequity and oppression in the first place. Catholic Community Services do far more harm and continue the cycles of oppression so poor and sick people can keep coming back, so these people can feel better about themselves. It does no justice to the cause.
