The way this company is run and the way Cassie (the owner) treats people is vile and shameful. Cassie seems lovely when you first join the company but a few shifts in and her true colours will surface. I have never in my life worked for someone as rude as Cassie, i have actually had phone conversations with her where she has been swearing and shouting down the phone at me and also has put the phone down on me. You will be blackmailed into taking on shifts and threatened with not being offered work in the future if you don't agree to work. In the year that I worked for Cassie I was actually new to the events industry and now that I work for a different company who are so much more professional and actually treat their staff with respect. Cassie tries to tempt you with £10 an hour roles and tells you that you won't find that pay anywhere else, a complete lie. I never earn less that £12 at the agency I work for now. Working for Cassie was never ever enjoyable, it was just a complete headache because you never know when she is going to loose it. You are made to have your hair in such an ugly, unflattering style and makeup has to be caked on and if it isnt you will have to redo it. Oh and not forgetting the selfies that you must send to Cassie one hour before your shift starts so she can check that you all look like clones of each other. Pay is slow and payment dates were often delayed and you weren't allowed to question it if you were not paid on time or you would be abused. Whilt I worked there I saw girls struck off the books, blocked and not paid for weeks and weeks of work over the most trivial of issues. Cassie expects you to drop everything in order to fulfill shifts that you haven't even signed up for and will literally abuse and blackmail you if you say no, she really should be ashamed of herself. I am so annoyed that I stayed with the agency for so long, being new to the industry I actually didn't realise what else was out there and now that I work for a different agency I am so much happier and work is never stressful! You are treated like dirt, you are not valued in the slightest. I know that clients had sent good feedback about me to Cassie and not once did that feedback ever reach me from Cassie, I never once got a thank you for representing her company and receiving good feedback as a result of my hard work. There are no values or company ethos, nothing to feel proud of when you work for this company, you just feel like another number being pushed through a very broken system where if you put one toe out of line you will be blocked and not paid.
