- Hawthorne (and soon to be) El Segundo offices are a lengthy commute
- Company priorities and hiring shift on a weekly basis, making it hard to plan long-term
- Culture has gone noticeably downhill since beginning of 2026 due to stress
- I was absolutely lied to about multiple developments within the company before signing the offer; they are desperate for talent and the pressure to hire is aggressive
- Uneven disruption of talent amongst teams (largely due to being a high-growth startup)
- Frequent travel to test sites at a moment's notice (often ordered directly from leadership so you can't say no). Many people barely see their families
- Product quality is inconstant
- There is a ton of favoritism and cliquish culture here, it's likely you will be set up to fail from Day 1 if you're not considered personable enough by someone who isn't even your direct manager
- Tons of back channel communication; the lack of transparency also sets people and projects up to fail
- Management is avoidant and two-faced, often neglecting proper onboarding and throwing reports under the bus to curry favors with leadership, such as title / large checks / ability to go remote
