Pros
Despite taking on the job with the belief that the company was a Microsoft Partner and had contracts in place, I was disappointed to find out that these were not true. Additionally, the CEO was uncooperative in sharing his contacts or providing updates on projects. To make matters worse, there was no reimbursement for the tools I used to rewrite content or search for prospects. Overall, I could not identify any benefits or advantages to working for this company.
Cons
The CEO of the company was not forthcoming about his business dealings and the people he conducted business with. My role in the company was to oversee the sales and marketing aspects while also assisting in the content rewriting and designing of the new site. Unexpectedly, I was terminated from my position. It is essential for the CEO to realize that transparency is key when entrusting someone with leadership responsibilities. Unfortunately, his lack of transparency made the job difficult to manage. Therefore, it is important for the CEO to mature and be transparent in their business dealings with their employees.
