Pros

Some great people work here who mean well. Salary is ok and benefits are alright

Cons

Where to even begin. The lack of direction this company has is comical and sad. They are in bed so deep with Microsoft they won't entertain any other avenues of revenue or advice from people in the field even though they are a sinking ship. No marketing, no brand recognition. comparex globally sells all software but in the USA trying to reinvent the wheel by being Microsoft only and getting laughed at by the CDW's, Insights and SHI's of the industry. They laid off 1/3 of their staff some being thier most tenured and loyal employees with no notice. Upper Management do not think for themselves or take people in the fields opinions at all to improve they just agree with top management while ships sink. Overall awful plan and leadership and like the title says Don't Drink the Koolaid

Pros

-was able to make some friends with co workers (but they have now all left the company or been fired!) -get to work from home -base pay is decent -since communication sucks- no one bothers you! seriously haven't talked to my manager in a month -

Cons

If you are reading this and deciding to read these reviews- you always take into account that the employees that are writing the "1 Star" are bitter, and the "5 Star" are in recruiting/hr. Well I don't hate Comparex, and I am not bitter towards it. I just look at my employment here at one of the biggest mistakes in my career... Comparex is one of the POOREST run companies that could ever exist. This is due to the fact that there is not real plan for the company. The objectives are not clear, or the roadmap. So when we have our meetings its hard to display positive affirmation when you cannot effectively communicate where the company is going. Also Microsoft decided to discontinue 2/3 products we specialize in.. (was mentioned on a MSFT blog) Comparex made no announcement about this, or plan of action on how we were going to adapt to this. This happened 2 months ago. There is actually no communication between anyone to the point where the upper management encourages us to spread information around "i.e." gossip if we hear something. The information is usually pretty important to, like when Upper Mgmt is coming to town(which is a big deal when your remote and you alone have to show them around), what services we are currently selling/ verses working on partners with, marketing events that we are sponsoring in your town (that you don't know about and have to attend and drive attendance too) / oh yes and what your quota is, and a lot more but those are some of my experiences. And during the last round of layoffs there was complete HAVOC. Yes layoffs- no mercy, no package, no notice, at the end of the month layoffs to half of the US company. I felt horrible for them and now I am always wondering when it will happen to me. Everyone is flocking from this company. Best Part was when they laid off the part of the HR team after they finished laying off other people. This is not as major to me, but it does annoy some people- everything is controlled by Germany, to the point where now if I need to reset the password on my computer- I have to put a ticket into the the german IT team because we no longer have IT here. I personally like the IT guys in Germany when they get on the chat with me. I think they feel sorry for us!

Pros

No technical work at all so if you like to take a nap from a rigorous environment come here and enjoy the resort on the cost of zero job security.

Cons

No work, No class , No job security, No respect to employees , No identity in the society. Not even even an organisation at all. No management. No infrastructure. LOL No identity cards. No cafeteria. No coffee vending machine , No water dispenser. It looks like a startup and will continue to look like as it is because people are proud of it in Comparex. No PF info. Even they express that it's grace that they release salary. The HR system doesn't take care of post hiring concerns , employee's day to day concern and relieving procedure . Infact unlike anyother organisation employees are frightened of HR system here. HR system takes care of counterring such reviews on glass door, organissing annual functions. Welcomming delegates from Comapex Germany Comparex USA etc. No clients visit here because it's just sales based organisation. They have awards of sales partners and that's none of a concern of an employee who has technical bent of mind. Even the name of the company doesn't make sense!
