Pros

The only pro left at the company is the occasional Costco run, however, the office administrator just quit...

Pros

Dog friendly office. Weekly runs to Costco for snack food. Unlimited overtime during busy season. My wonderful coworkers (and their dogs) make CPASS bearable.

Cons

I was told when I first began working for CPASS that they were recently acquired by a company from California (ProSites) and that they were still adjusting to the merge. What I learned later was that they were acquired YEARS prior to me being hired and were still having major issues with communication, resources, & management. ProSites' management & HR seem to be totally clueless on how to handle a company that's thousands of miles away. The webmaster position is a stressful position to begin with, as it's your typical call center tech support position, however we are also horribly understaffed and disorganized. The turnover is absolutely ridiculous. More people have left the company during my employment than the number of months that I have worked there. When you're understaffed, underpaid, and mis-managed, morale goes down and turnaround time suffers. When turnaround time suffers, clients get ANGRY. Handling so many angry clients on a constant basis while dealing with the stress of a crumbling company is not worth the miserable pay that we're given. On top of all of that, the office/building is absolute garbage. We recently had a flesh fly infestation due to dead animals in the walls. We were expected to work while hundreds (maybe thousands) of giant flies buzzed around the office. The infestation wasn't much of a surprise to us, as a foul dead-animal odor is occasionally smelled in the sales room. It was pretty disgusting!

Pros

Fair level of autonomy and mobility for a very FEW motivated individuals. Chief Revenue Officer is a fantastic leader with a passion to help employees succeed, whether in the company or elsewhere. Weekly costco trips keep a delicious, well-stocked break room.

Cons

Executive leadership is mostly located in California. With a recent merger, the Vermont office has been completely swallowed by California, because the board kept the CEO and founder of Prosites on as CEO for the merged company. However, his leadership is null; instead of leading toward growth and success, his only motivation is personal glory and tribute. He is emotionally immature and lacks the sense to drive business forward. Instead, the "good old boys" club of the hard sell has led to a business model that is unsustainable and limits employee engagement and opportunity. CEO also fires very good, very qualified individuals at will based on personal feelings rather than what is best for the company.
