Pros

If you are working under the right manager, you can learn a lot and grow professionally. There is real talent in the recently acquired offices (Newburgh & Jamestown).

Cons

- They frequently ask for employee feedback, then do nothing with information - Good managers are few and far between - Managers often use junior employees as scapegoats; ownership and integrity is lacking in management - Company appears progressive and forward-thinking, however the reality is that they are an archaic company with out-dated views (i.e. technology, work from home policy, company policies, etc.) - Advancement is based on favorites, not talent. - Company boasts culture, but culture is lacking and almost non-existent. The company as a whole does not have an identity. - The physical work environment is disgusting. - Low salary in comparison to other firms of similar size. - Interns are often recruited because they "know someone" - usually they don't have an interest in the field they are interning for and often end up being a time and money waster. - They continue to expand by buying up smaller offices throughout the east coast, however they are doing nothing to create a sense of unity or culture between offices. The company as a whole is disjointed and chaotic. - Diversity is non-existent.

Beware, They'll Burn You Out

Pros

Job security, very heavily involved in municipal work

Cons

Low salary, borderline not competitive Benefits are lacking Middle managers lack any direction aside from heckling designers about billing and timesheets Software rollouts are incredibly problematic without support from higher levels The existing CAD standard isn't followed, and is severely lacking No professional development for early career designers No federal holidays/PTO plan is not good Managers blame junior designers for issues that are not the junior designer's responsibility/fault There is a lack of company identity and culture as stated in another review. There's no reason to be "loyal" to the company as they will burn you out and just replace you with another warm body.
