Good pay and remote work, but limited advancement options and uncertainty due to NRG acquisition
Pros
I like the size of the organization, at about 200 employees. It's a good size to be able to propose and execute solutions that make an impact. The pay is good and the ability to work remote is great (for those who don't live in Baltimore). With NRG recently acquiring CPower, it's uncertain how salary and work in general is going to be impacted after the integration. Before NRG acquired CPower, I would have recommended the company to a friend or colleague. However, right now, there is too much uncertainty for me to feel comfortable recommending.
Cons
Because of the size, for some roles, there aren't a lot of career advancement opportunities. The only way for me to progress would be leaving the company and finding a higher level position with another company (probably larger).
