Worst year of my life!
Pros
ObamaCare forced them to offer health care, otherwise they would not. Ok hourly pay, IF you have experience, otherwise they will try to cut corners and low ball you. They promise you endless commission opportunities BUT you are only eligible for commission once you meet their ridiculously high monthly sales quota. I never made a single dime in commission. They promise you the opportunity to advance but any management title here is just a title, you still get treated like a slave animal. I will say this, they are very honest about paying overtime, WHEN it is approved.
Cons
You are expected to punch in 10 minutes before your shift and 10 minutes after your shift. If you punch in 1 minute late you need to write a daily "tardy report" explaining why you are late and why you will never be late again. This document then needs to be signed by your manager and the president of the company. I understand punctuality is important but this is just RIDICULOUS. The entire mood of this office surrounds the president of the company. If he's is a bad mood then he comes to the office angry ready to go off on someone. You will literally get yelled at if you mislabel a file or use the wrong folder. If sales are low, all management is in a bad mood and its everyones fault, so you will get yelled at. The only time I ever heard any form of appreciation from management is when you made a LARGE sale and at the holiday party. Sometimes even when you made a sale you got yelled at. For the sale being to small! So there was no win win. You were always doing something wrong. I hate this type of environment. I also think the owners are a bit racist. Don't even bother working here. There are thousands of other wholesalers in downtown/vernon area where you can work. I would rather work at mcdonalds then work here. There are a lot of other problems here that glass door is not allowing me to post.
