Pros

Free pass to see animals you'll eventually get bored of and discount on already crazy overpriced food oh wait these are all cons. Only good thing was the other employees they were nice and fun except for a few

Cons

EVERYTHING MANAGEMENT JUST LOVES BULLYING YOU FOR NOTHING. Absolutely hated management they were so mean and rude for no absolute reason and made you feel less then them. If you hire a bunch of teens don't expect them to be perfect at their jobs this is a huge learning curve for al lot of people but they don't seem to realize that and instead of giving you constructive criticism back they act rude and impatient.

Pros

Can be a great environment, with the animals, interactions with guests thrilled to be there, unforgettable moments connecting you to the great work of zoo conservation

Cons

Culture gone toxic. Due to leadership changes in the last several years, there is cross departmental lack of trust, fear of failure, no room to make mistakes and learn, micromanaging and constantly adapting to a breakneck speed of changes and emergencies. Horrible work life balance due to seven day operations, lack of proper staffing, and leadership contacting direct reports on days off and outside of work hours. Anything and everything can and will happen, frontline staff are expected to bear the burden of these situations with minimal training and no growth, development or competitive compensation is offered.
