The "Stagnator" of culture and innovation
Pros
They have coffee machines. Some of the employees are great to work with. The customers are great to work with.
Cons
This company offers much to be desired if you are looking for a place that promotes trust, support, and a growth mindset. If you are looking to be rewarded for your hard work and effort, this is not the place for you. If you want to be doing meaningful work, this is not the place for you. If you don't want to be taken advantage of, this is not the place for you. If you want to be valued and respected, this is not the place for you! Unless, you are a family member or friend of the senior leadership team. Nepotism, lots of nepotism and favouritism is intertwined in the advancement and growth of this once great company. Now it just rides the coattails of it’s foundation and the core stability that was built over the past 100+ years. The myopic and stagnant outlook on innovation and weak unsupportive culture cannot go unnoticed (don’t be fooled by superficial ‘ice cream day’ and a ’games room’). These are only masks for a crude underbelly of deficiency. Another downfall is that they don’t hire people with the right skill sets, values and ethics for specific jobs. Or they promote people who are not qualified for their positions. They overlook potential qualified employees (they either let go of them or the top talent finally have enough of the toxic environment and leave of their own accord). Some of their policies and procedures are outdated or don’t apply when it’s not convenient. There is lack of advancement, pay raises and bonuses, unless you're in the 'in-crowd'. They don't promote a good work-life balance. Not adept at making a consistently high quality product. Not adept at improving processes within manufacturing.
