Pros

Really friendly co workers, however you mainly bond over the fact you all hate your job. You basically get paid to do nothing - I don't know if that's a good thing I liked giving the tours but no room for expansion of knowledge as tours are 20 mins long Improved my public speaking skills The park is a nice environment, especially in the forest You get to work outside

Cons

Low pay with no ability to get a raise. One coworker got a 5cent raise after being there 3 years! Management talks in circles and quite dismissive of positive ideas to improve job position or workplace No ability for upward movement in company lack of environmental sustainability The uniforms look nice but are too hot or cold and jackets aren't waterproof even if you work full time they renew your "contract" every 4 months so they don't have to pay you benefits unpaid lunch so you have to work 8.5 hour days LOW PAY when everything in the park is incredibly expensive . Alwys work weekends. Work nights as well.

Pros

Free food ( Everyone charges food to different departments and don’t pay) Free admin ( you get bored of it after you go twice - nothing new just poor tourists are paying excessive amounts to get in to see a Bridge when they can go to Lynn Canyon for free!) Good transit location and you can always take the shuttles even when your not working

Cons

If you honestly have a family and are wanting to grow in your position this place is not for you... they will lie to you in your interview and say the position your are taking will transition into a supervisor role as the manager wants to retire.... well....the manager will never retire.. she has been saying that for the last 7 years and yet she’s still there... even though you are promised a higher role there is no opportunity for that role as they won’t give you a timeline or time frame ...Only senior management have good benefits and high pay .. Senior management treat all employees very bad.. they are rude and support office staff are scared of senior management because if they don’t like you your cut.. Lots of favoritism happening and lots of lies are being told to potential employees.. honestly you are better off working for another company than Capilano Suspension Bridge... you will regret your days there...no one is happy ...

Not treated very well by management ,breaks are laughable, uniform is a joke, bullying atmosphere, Pay is terrible and working conditions are disgraceful.Never work here . Once told by someone in payroll. 'Us foreigners are coming over here an taking Canadian jobs ' Hate to tell her were not taking these jobs , Canadians wouldn't go near these jobs and other than students the rest are all 'us foreigners' cause Canadians wouldn't put up with the terrible work environment, low pay and disgraceful way Head Office employees treats Park employees.
