Pros

Really good benefits package, 7 hour work days, decent amount of vacation days to start, nice campus.

Cons

This company has really gone down hill....I worked here for 5 years and have seen atleast 40 different managers change within that time... 20 alone in the past year... I don’t know how some of the Administrator's got their positions and how they have managed to keep them... a lot of inconsistencies across departments, in one area you have employees calling in sick all the time and making up the hours through over time, others who constantly have new higher paid positions approved, and shady off the record working from home situations or “flex days”... and others who have over time bans and no budget for anything not even office equipment??? It literally makes 0 sense how there is such an inconsistency across departments. As an employee I literally can’t believe some of the things I have seen colleges get away with in one department and then punished for in another? People do talk amongst departments... its not a secret how favoritism works. There needs to be change from the top down. I don’t know what planet these people live on. I feel bad for the students, most of the Faculty and Deans are beyond arrogant and self-absorbed.

Pros

Interesting colleagues freedom in texts, assignments, and some leeway with scheduling good work spaces in teaching areas and offices lovely setting

Cons

unpredictable and unsupportive behaviour from management-over computing decisions, behaviour, policies that tend to be non-collaborative produces a lot of tension between faculty union and management tension and job uncertainty for new faculty inadequate staff support, especially for evenings/ late afternoons work life balance difficult to achieve during teaching terms with full loads culture of collegial relationships shifting to a more top down management style
