Pros

I love this company so much. I have worked here for about 3 years and came from another company, so I have prior experience to compare to. The culture is so amazing and supportive. The directors are present and available when you need them. They provide great in-office training. Consultants and BCBAs have manageable caseloads, so they can provide effective treatment and support of RBTs. Pay is pretty good compared to other companies in the area. I love the company-wide "sightings" program that allows families and employees at all levels to give shout-outs to others. All data collection is done electronically. Necessary electronics are provided to everyone in management. I recommend this company to everyone. They give raises without you having to ask for them (RBTs especially). Love the annual party as well!!

Cons

It would be great if the in-office training could extend into the field, so that continuation of training does not fall on the shoulders of consultants and BCBAs. We need more schedulers. The company is getting too big to have one main scheduler. Lastly, this is an industry-wide issue, but the staff:client ratio is always off (i.e. too many clients, not enough RBTs). I understand wanting to serve as many kids as possible, but I dont think we should take on more clients when we can't serve the ones we have. It looks bad on us.

Pros

I enjoyed working with the kids and their families! The majority of my supervisors were awesome to work with as well.

Cons

Low pay. I got my college degree during my employment and only received a dollar raise, doing the same job high schooler graduates do. Not a lot of opporutnities to move up in the company. When I put in my two weeks notice, I was met with a lot of passive aggression from the people higher up. This was a great job while I was still a student, but I couldn't be expected to stay there forever, especially as a college graduate only receiving 15$ an hour. HR was "attempting" to get me to stay but didn't seem willing to actually do much, like give me a raise. This job is emotionally taxing. It can be super fun but it's definitely tough. It's very easy to wear yourself out, especially working full time. I'm very sad to be looking for another job. I wish they would care and compensate their employees more. This position is very replaceable, and they definitely treated us like that.

Pros

The employees are incredibly committed to improving the lives of the clients they serve and I cannot speak highly enough about the leadership team and their commitment to the company's mission, vision and values. It is rare to find such a combination of both talent and commitment at every level of an organization and I am proud to be part of such an amazing team!

Cons

California's budget cuts and changes to the service standards have made the last few years challenging.
