Pros

Good Management, lots of hours and overtime available. Good pay and benefits. But the cons out weigh the good.

Cons

They treat their employees like robots. They work you 8-12 hrs a day, with no lunch break. You go through a tank of gas daily. It's not really like a CNA position because everyday you are scheduled, for some clients, 3 hour appointments just to clean their house!! It is more like a Housekeeping/Maid job. Also, some clients will have you go to McDonald's for them, or run to a smoke shop to get them tabacco. Errands for clients would be okay if it was to the grocery store for food, or to the pharmacy for their medications, etc... There is little work during the day that would be considered a "Certified Nursing Assistant" job. Most of the clients I saw, just needed help showering.

Pros

The pay is good compared to other cna jobs.

Cons

There is a heavy lack of communication in this company. When there are changes in your scheduling it is extremely unlikely that you or the patient will hear about it. When these communication problems are brought to their attention nothing is done and blame is placed on other people or you are told to find a different company if you done like their communication. You get your schedule sent to you on the Friday before. Schedulers make you feel like they will work on issues presented to them but you never really seem to get a clear solution to the problem. Several patients that make inappropriate comments or advances towards aids Patients treat you more as a house keeper or personal assistant rather than a cna. So there is a lot of cleaning and running errands rather than taking part in pt personal cares like showers etc. There is a black out period for the Cnas from mid November to January while office staff doesn’t have the same restrictions for vacation time during that period.

Pros

Patient care is amazing and fullfilling line of work.

Cons

In the end, I left because I was working split shifts and weekends and I could not specify weekend hours. I was willing to work weekends, but there were those that didn't and all I wanted was after 4 on Sundays and they told me no. They pay mileage, but it doesn't help at all the wear and tear on your vehicle.
