Pros

not any since the new COO got involved. TJ joys made us pretty much work 2x as hard for a quarter of the pay we used to get. you have to question why your getting under paid every moth. would not recommend working here 60 hrs a week unless you want to waste talent. i could go on and on about how awful TJ Joyce made working at carlock...

Cons

need F&I knowlage to get paid pretty much. have to send a "check in and check out" sheet every morning and evening. you have to beg for money you were promised. the hours aren't worth the poor pay. i can go on and on.

Pros

Not many now. Use to be a decent company until TJ got involved and they went to a single point of contact sales model.

Cons

Was a decent place to work until May of 2025. TJ Joyce (Carlock’s COO) has the Carlock family bought into the A2Z program where the sales rep handles everything from start to finish. Sounds great on paper until you realize they essentially eliminate all Finance Manager jobs and force Salesmen to be “Client Advisors” where everything is supposed to be “Carlock clear and transparent” to the customer but there is nothing transparent about only showing someone 60 month term then forcing them to agree on a payment that will inevitably drop when you go to 72moths and add back end products. They are only paying sales people $50-$100 to sell a car (same pay structure for all 24 locations, no matter the brand or local cost of living) and all but forcing them to sell back-end products (Service contract, Gap, PDR, Ect.) to be able to pay there bills and survive. The Products are all but worthless as the Carlock’s own the Reassurance company (Alpha or Alpine) and they will try to get out of paying claims as much as they can. To top it all off 3 months into this new pay structure they decide to take away all unit bonuses, CSI bonus, salesman of the month bonus ect. Absolutely a cowardly move to save a few dollars so that they can continue to build their multi million dollar facilities in Brentwood while they starve the sales people who provide them with the money in the first place. Pure Corrupt Greed!
