Pros

- Ability to work and feel a part of the larger Christian mission - Everyone values students and genuinely wants to help students - A mix of good, faithful, and striving Christian academics

Cons

- University seems to be dwindling and desperate for enrollment - Many of the main leaders seem to be pretty petty, insecure, and lacking the experience and perspective they need to move the university forward. Seem to be micromanagers who want to control everything and everyone. Not sure if that's they way all Christian institutions are but seems to be an issue here. - Seems to be a place where cronyism and conformity is valued over other things, which is disappointing - Be wary of speaking up about anything - a place where the critical killing of ideas and people is a sport

Pros

Flexibility. Since they have below average compensation, they make up for this by providing a flexible schedule.

Cons

The college is non-inclusive of diversity specifically with LGBTQ populations. Often times, the religious and political agenda overrides serving and supporting students. Poor leadership that is permeated by lack of human resource direction and support.

Pros

Able to teach and coach students in the best way you see fit. Flexibility in the classroom. Great at service learning and pushing the students to see past the classroom and to see the higher purpose in what they do.

Cons

Budget constraints have doubled and tripled some class sizes - with no additional help. Pay and positions cuts have pushed the faculty to where they are hanging on by a thread. I saw 70% of the faculty in my division leave within a four-year period, though there are still some faculty passionate about nurturing students.
