Big studio with big ego

The artists here are really incredible, overall the talent is great.

Cons

People are treated with hostility, HR is completely uninterested and defensive to receive and address concerns. From personal and from other coworkers experience, we are met with constant gatekeeping and breaches in contracts. The pay is incredibly low for the living costs in Kilkenny. Unless you already live here, its not worth it. Do yourself a favor and dont bother with this environment, it will suck the life out of you.

Pros

Great projects that will look good in your portfolio/showreel. Renowned studio and will make you more hirable for work at other studios.

Cons

Generally miserable atmosphere when I worked here. Employers will just treat you like a number. Co workers very clicking and reluctant to welcome new and unknown employees. Kilkenny is a very small town - you will not be able to avoid seeing people from the studio on a day out.

Very good projects, people are nice and no overtime on the productions I worked on

Cons

A kind of cultish culture around the studio. Production and HR refer to the company as "family" and use similar language and overly positive vocabulary to deter people from speaking up about what's wrong, in covid times people were asked on team calls to take turns speaking about their personal issues, completely unprofessional. Gaslighting from HR and production when people try to speak about problems in the workflow or organisation. A lot of difference in pay between people with the same experience for no reason.
