Pros

If you're an under achiever and just want to collect a pay check, look no further. The lack of accountability makes CHD an easy place to work.

Cons

The amount of unethical behavior is evident based on their numerous lawsuits with the most recent occurring in October 2017 as well as recently hired individuals who have put many lives in danger in both personal and professional situations. Either doing a simple internet search on high profile individuals is too complicated or their behavior is acceptable. The executives lack any ability to manage/plan leaving everyone to scramble last minute while they constantly bicker because they each think they are the smartest person in the room while the CEO is completely out of touch with reality.

Pros

Good health and other benefits. Many dedicated long term employees Good time off benefits if you can take the time.

Cons

Management is disorganized, knee jerk reactive, quick to blame and judge without any perspective of history and source of problems. company is losing big money due to poor descion-making which lacks planning and follow through. Long term excellent staff are marginalized, undermined and being blamed for the results of the organizational dysfunction and reactiveness. Rules are changed and applied retroactively. Morale of direct care and corporate staff are at an all time low and anyone who can get out is. Employees who disagree or challenge are considered disposable. Raises are non existent except for the top management.

Pros

What is wonderful about this company is the flexibility to manage one's own schedule. This is especially important to managing a healthy work/life balance. Unfortunately, this is the only positive aspect of working here.

Cons

The challenges to working at CHD are numerous. Perhaps the most challenging is the lack of good management and leadership. Director spends a lot of time and resources putting out fires rather than addressing problems directly and working with employees to find effective solutions. Training and adequate clinical support is virtually non-existent, resulting in clinician burnout and high employee turnover rates. Our This management style also seems to limit the personal growth of its employees. Rules and policies seem to apply differently to different people. This is difficult to observe as sometimes good employees are penalized while people who skirt their responsibilities are rewarded. Our documentation rate is abysmal (probably a reflection of poor organization and training). Salaries are inconsistent, varying widely, regardless of number of years experience. Benefits are minimally basic, very little time off, no sick or personal days, scant retirement and low tuition reimbursement. Medical insurance seems decent in comparison to other non-profits in the area.
