Worked in a great team, saw a wide variety of clientele, gained experience working with newly arrived refugees and interpreters.

The role is narrow and can be repetitive. There is a lot of stress about the timely completion of reports. Often the system would crash.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Centrelink full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
Pay ok once you get to the top of your pay band.
Cons
Micromanagement of staff to the point of causing mental illness issues, old systems that are poor and new systems that are worse with more issues. Career progression if you are friends with the right people and a lot of sucking up. No job security , future looks bleak as giving jobs to casuals and full time staff spend time fixing the casuals mistakes or apologising for casuals wrong information given out. ICT barely exists no IT local help just admin staff who were phone staff giving it a go. No option to choose your work as not all staff like processing claims in a dinosaur system and enjoyed help customers on the phones. Sites are shrinking , people leaving and not being replaced.
