Pros

They will hook you in and sell you the dream with this company. Fancy business trips, promotions, staff activities to name a few, however they are not truthful about what the job role is. Their day to day work includes a two hour training session in the morning (Sold to you as the training scheme) and then you will spend the rest of the day out in the streets asking people to donate to their chosen charity at the time. NOTE - You will be working an 11 hour day

Cons

I was offered a 'Marketing and Sales' role and the company was a perfect fit for myself. After having various training sessions, I began to find hidden factors that were not previously mentioned at any point of the recruitment stages. These were details that were crucial to the job role and would have deterred many candidates from applying to the role. The interview process is EASY and they will make you feel very special. In fact it is quite the opposite. They will charm you to leaves no time for you to ask questions (This is to hide the fact that they are door to door crowd funders).

We find customers for these clients through face to face promotional marketing and sales campaigns. The marketing strategies used are client and product dependent. We apologise that you feel that some information was not provided up front. We aim for full transparency and to assist with this we operate an extensive three-stage recruitment process. We hope you gained some valuable transferable skills during your time working with us and we wish you the best for the future.

Pros

The people are friendly and that’s it

Cons

It is literally a pyramid scheme. You knock on people’s doors for 9 hours a day, in storms, in 35 degree heat, with no fixed salary. You are advertised a role with 300-400 per week salary, which for the work you’re doing is not great, plus this is ONLY if you make sales. You will not get a base salary.

Pros

Most of the team are very welcoming and kind . They all have good work ethic and the drive to succeed which motivated me. Some members of the team really helped me build my confidence and I have been able to incorporate that into my everyday life up until now .

Cons

1. During the recruitment process, I was not really told what the job role entailed which is door-door sales (which I was not interested in at all) . The job was advertised as “sales and marketing” however once I joined the team I only really saw the sales aspect 2. Long morning meetings that are repetitive . These meetings were lead by the CEO of that specific office (Watford) who came across as very nonchalant and patronising . He will babble on about how bettering your life outside of the company is worthless . Which to me seemed very sceptical as we live in a country full of opportunities for all ages. It was almost as if he was trying to brainwash people to stay in the company (I use the word trying loosely). He would also boast about how he started at door to door level making peanuts and now he has his own office , tailored suits and a luxury car to lure young , naive people to believe they can do exactly what he did (not to say they can’t but if you do your research on sales companies such as this one you would know it is only a small percentage who make it and they make it by Deceiving people). 3. Travel - travel expenses are not paid for bare in mind that you’re working 6 days a week on foot . So to arrive to your destination also known as the “field” you would have to either chip in for petrol or buy a bus ticket. 4. There is a lot of power play. The managers are treated like Gods but really do the bare minimum. 5. It’s a cult like atmosphere they will get you to bring your aunties and grandmas if they could. They shun anyone who may be rightfully critical of their shady scheme 6. I saw so many young people straight out of school , college and university. Not knowing that there are free opportunities such as internships and apprenticeships that can further their career in sales and marketing all whilst being paid salary , getting the education by a professional teacher who is trained to teach you every skill you need . If you’re young please get out everything you’re being offered is feasible but with the right education (although the managers may tell you otherwise) Do not waste your skills and talent , I have no doubt you will regret it . 7.They use terminology and phrases that are synonymous with pyramid schemes all over the world please research on pyramid schemes this is what made me change my perspective they will do anything to make you think otherwise . 8. TALK TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS THEY TRY TO ISOLATE YOU AND MAKE YOU THINK THAT PEOPLE’S OPINIONS ARE WORTHLESS EVEN THOUGH THEYRE COMING FROM PEOPE WHO GENUINELY CARE ABOUT YOUR WELL-BEING. 9. Everyone acts as if they’re making CEO money but then they spend their money on suits, travel and business trips … sigh. There’s nothing to really show except fake flexing

Thanks for taking the time to review your experience at Champtronix. As a business, we greatly value all open and honest feedback. We have an amazing team of people who are integral to our success and it’s great to read your positive comments about them. We apologise if there was any miscommunication and you weren’t fully aware of what the role entailed. We have a diverse client portfolio and the campaigns we develop for them are entirely dependent on the product and target audience. We use business to business, events, and residential direct marketing strategies. Our CEO is proud to have built the company from the ground up, and he is passionate about helping others to fulfil their career ambitions. At Champtronix, we attract individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and are committed to helping people to learn, grow and develop. As we’re sure you are aware, pyramid schemes are illegal. Using this language in association with our business is a complete misrepresentation of our legitimate business model. We appreciate this type of role requires complete commitment, dedication and an incredible work ethic. We fully understand it’s not for everyone. We hope you were able to transfer some of the skills you acquired at Champtronix and have found a more suitable role.
