Pros

After many years of Big Corporate jobs, it is refreshing to know that my feedback and my input are heard. It’s extremely empowering to be treated as an equal and someone who is knowledgeable and skilled (this sounds like a very low bar that unfortunately most employers don’t meet). Unlike many start-ups where the C-level team believes they are the smartest people in the room, the leadership team at Chargezoom actually listens to staff and takes action based on their input. This not only benefits the day-to-day business but allows for every employee to be a champion for our customers and partners and deliver on the vision for the company. Because we are given space to be experts in our domains, every business unit works together seamlessly. Because of the emphasis on culture fit, it’s effortless to work with any member of any team at any time. Because we operate smoothly, we can do more (and go faster) than a traditional corporate structure would allow. The motto here is “work hard, live well” which is supported at every level. Hard work is rewarded with excellent pay and benefits and everyone is encouraged to ‘live well’ by using the generous PTO plan to balance their work/life. We also get lots of in-office perks like a fully stocked kitchen, catered meals on Fridays, company swag, etc.

Cons

Not really a con, but a heads-up: we move quickly, which is fun but requires team members to be flexible and willing to learn new processes. Every employee is responsible for being proactive and defining their role; if you’re looking for a job that has a clearly defined task list that never changes you may not like this environment.

Pros

I have been part of a few successful start ups and two acquisitions and this is by far the most amazing one I am lucky enough to be a part of. Matt Dubois is one of the most brilliant, talented, hard working, determined, generous CEOs I have had the pleasure of working with. I am excited to learn, grow and prosper under his guidance. Chargezoom is a rocketship right now and it needs determined, goal oriented, hard working, fun people to come join our fast paced team.

Cons

The only con right now is that this is an in office job. While so many people caught the 'work from home bug' during the pandemic it is hard to find talented people in Orange County that want to work in office. As someone that worked remotely for 15 in management and executive positions, I can tell you being in the office is the best thing for this type of organization. The only way we grow as fast as we will is with face to face interaction, at least for now. I never thought I would go back into an office full time, but I am so glad I did. If you want to be part of something amazing, come join us.

Pros

Chargezoom is definitely a place where hard work pays off and is rewarded. Management recognizes the impact you make and promotes based on that rather than just length of time employed.

Cons

As a result of hypergrowth things grown and can change quickly, it requires flexibility.
