Imagine: You work for an employer who's CEO is racist, misogynistic, and pompous. Well, you'd be working at Charles & Colvard.
Unfortunately I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing this front and center. I witnessed so many people of color get fired because they were seen as "intimidating" or a "threat", when that was so far from the truth.
If you ever tried to stand up for yourself or your department you were cut within a week, no matter how good you were at your job, especially if you were a woman.
The entire customer service department would be drowning in work and issues that are caused by their quality control process, but the CEO and his female shadow (AKA the COO) with no backbone are in Italy and India for weeks enjoying a nice vacation that they cover up by saying they have work to attend to there (lol okay).
Oh also, you have a personal life? Wish that goodbye, because the second you start working here you will take work home and come back the next day feeling like you never left.
We can also talk about how there isn't a real HR, and hasn't been since Don, the CEO, took place. He fired them because he didn't want anyone going to HR about him, so instead the interim "HR" tells the CEO everything, so nothing is safe or confidential, ever.
Please, for the love of everything, do not find yourself working here.
Personally, I am in therapy now due to trauma that the administration here has caused me in the workplace.
