Pros

Great place to gain experience covering news, with growing emphasis on digital over print publication. Coworkers and supervisors are professional and supportive if you are willing to put in long hours for mediocre pay.

Cons

The newspaper industry is shrinking nationwide and trying to make profit with digital presence, but it is an ongoing battle. Tribune Publishing is making cuts, so many senior employees are leaving. This is a difficult place to work if you want long-term stability or increase in pay.

Pros

Some really great people with great work ethics.

Cons

Lots of lazy employees and mgmt does nothing about it. The hard working continue to get dumped on for doing a good job. Open your eyes and manage! Once the hard working employees are gone, and they are leaving, maybe then you'll do something!
