Pros

One of the dispatchers is nice.

Cons

I'm getting paid the absolute minimum, they keep me just below full time, I got stuck with a crappy post no one else wanted. No breaks. Got written up for an invalid reason. I could go get a retail/fast food job and it would be better than this.

Pros

Cons

I've driven as far as a 160 miles round trip and was not reimbursed for gas they don't do that, And I was given a pay rate increase one minimum wage went up my rate increase did not I asked them why human resources contacted me and said I would have to wait a year to request a review hand have my rate increase approved when it was already approved on my last review had my Raise taken away Like I was being disciplined for Lacking in performance but my post loves me there and I've never had any complaints It took me 6 months to get a review for that raise and another 3 months of calling to try to get it when I was told I would receive a call back

Thank you for taking the time to write us this review. While we are an at will employer, it is not within our values here to recklessly give and take away raises without good reason. Because there are so many important points in your review, we’d like to invite you to contact us to discuss your experiences. We never try to treat any of our employees as just a number, and we’re sorry to hear that you felt your experience went against our culture and values. It takes each and every one of us to discuss the culture and environment so that we may continue to make Chief a great place to work at.

Pros

We have dispatchers and hours.

Cons

HR has no clue of the accounts and can only assume by following an employee handbook. Example: The employee handbook state that our jobs are observe and report but when working at a site the rules change. We hand out tickets, we call tow trucks to tow vehicles, and then we have to deal with protensionaly dangerous individuals that may carry weapons. On top of that while we wait in harms way it take up to 30 to 40 minutes until the police offucer arrive. Now how is this following the handbook. Open door policy: This section in the handbook is a joke. The doors are always shut except when being discipline. They can't even call you to even cancel an appointment over the phone. It's all about them and were just there flock of sheep.

Thank you for taking the time to write out your comments and thoughts, we’ve forwarded them to the respective departments. We wanted to state that you are completely correct in the statement that Chief’s philosophy for our security officers is to “Observe and Report.” We want to clarify that we do not ask our security officers to “Observe and Report only, with no other duties.” The purpose of said clarification, and the purpose of our “Observe and Report” philosophy is meant for the protection of our employees. Chief takes each and every step possible to place our guards in locations that minimize as much personal danger as possible while providing them the tools and support required to perform their duties safely. Parking management, enforcement of property rules and conduct, are all standard duties that security officers must carry out every day. These duties are clearly stated in our post orders available at every post, as well as with Dispatch, and Quality Control as well. We never expect nor require any of our officers to physically attempt to resolve any situation, as that could put them in harm’s way. “Observe and Report” means to be observant of one’s surroundings and if one notices any foul play, to report it to the proper authorities. We hope this clarifies things for you. We wish you the best of luck in your future.
