Pros

From my very first interview with Jenna, I had a feeling this was a special place. She instantly made me feel comfortable, took the time to truly get to know me, and answered every question with so much kindness and patience. Tammy made the onboarding experience just as wonderful. There was a lot to learn, but everything was so well organized that I felt supported every step of the way. You can really tell that Learning Nest Academy and Childventures want their employees to succeed and have built a team that genuinely cares. Every person I met made me feel welcomed, encouraged, and excited to be part of the company. What a lovely first impression!

Cons

Honestly, none so far! 😊 The onboarding includes a lot of information, but that’s because they truly want you to feel prepared and confident before you begin.

Pros

- Great families - Great kids - Beautiful center - Benefits are pretty okay

Cons

- Very difficult and little room for growth - Very high turn-over - Expectation to stay past end of shift until ratios allow resulted in leaving late on an almost daily basis - Staff supply list excruciatingly lacking - resulting in denial of requests for days off (ex. in my case, religious celebration) - Extremely vast gap between expectations and compensation - Day-to-day support is very minimal (despite the high expectations) - Unqualified staff placed in position of authority (resulting in many disagreements; imagine 10 years experience being bossed by someone who's been in the field for a year) - Communication with director in attempt to resolve issues never yielded any results - Multiple attempts to communicate with HR for support in resolving internal problems were all left unanswered
