Pros

There is a potential to make a lot of money. Co-Workers are friendly.

Cons

If you have any pets and love your family this is not a job for you. You start at 730 in the morning, the more you advance in the company the earlier you have to be there and you don't finish until 7-7:30 at night. On top of that they expect you to go to events after work every week, 2-3 times a week. Then they do conference calls after work and on Sunday, there's conference calls and you have to send an email to your leader. If you need time off from work during the week, doctor appointment, an event for your kid, they make you work Saturday. If you need to go out of town, they will give you a territory to where you are going to work there! During Thanksgiving week and Christmas week, you have to work 4 out of the 5 days, full days nonetheless!! It's a door to door business, so you are talking to people that majority of the time don't want to talk to you, most of the time are rude. There are the occasional nice people, but not very often. If it rains or is freezing cold, they still expect you to meet your every day quota!

We appreciate the positive feedback about our employees here at Choice Marketing Concepts. We pride ourselves in treating everyone as equals and building genuine relationships both in and outside of work. You are right! Like any position, the more you advance within the company the more responsibilities you earn and are expected to follow through on. If this wasn't the case and if the more you advance within a company the less was on your plate then the society we live in wouldn't be as productive and a company would have new employees required to train other new employees, leading to a highly ineffective process. Once again, these office team nights are 100% optional as well as the conference calls we offer for extra coaching and development. We offer a lot of optional opportunities for employees to make extra money and make up for time lost at work in case an emergency, doctors appointment, or prearranged time off (trips and vacations) do arise. We give our employees the chance to make up in a short week what the normally would in a full week during situations like these. Our training structure has been proven to work and is highly effective. We only allow consistent performers the chance to transfer knowledge to our new trainees. However, since it is a management training program, we do sometimes give some of our newer campaign executives who are making a lot of strides in the right direction the opportunity to train some new hires. This is is how people are developed quicker and they grow more as a professional.

Pros

The best reason working here, is simply the fact that there is unlimited access to growth, advancement and eventual ownership of ones business.

Cons

Some of the challenges of working here; no residual commission, only $10 retention bonus and all other apps take the same form.

Fast advancement, poor training

Pros

This company has the opportunity for fast advancement and some flexibility. Great people if you're looking to meet people in your area, very thick culture.

Cons

They do not take the time to train employees fully and instead focus on the 5 parts of a conversation, the 8 great work habits and a script. While this job does allow for both fully commission/bonus pay or "salaried" pay (assuming you meet there quota for the week) this is a door to business door position. There are no leads simply an outlined territory for you to canvass and sell business supplies to.

Thank you for your positive feedback on our staff! We are extremely proud as a company of our strong culture and our people here at Choice Marketing Concepts. Every company, especially in our field, has to have a clearly outlined set of goals that the company needs to meet to perform and to survive as a business. The position in question is covered with every applicant and candidate that is being considered. Being we work with the business division of Staples, most businesses, especially in the Tampa area, have already heard of or used us before. This makes most of our work following up with existing customers and meeting with business owners to explain the financial benefits of our client to their business compared to their alternative providers. Our training is in-depth, as well as our training is ongoing from the entry-level through management. Products and services are a major part of our training, and training is on-the-job and spread out over a period of time to ensure that candidates with any learning curve are able to properly learn and digest the information. All we ask is that our employees meet our trainers and management halfway. A foundation must be established through training before it can be built upon to ensure that every employee will be successful.
