Pros

GREAT culture, strong solutions, great financial services connections in New York and London.

Cons

Needs stronger sales approach, Partners with more management and sales experience, better solution templates so that deliverables dont start from a blank slate all the time.

Pros

Their model is "Client-Driven", not sales-driven. That is good branding for the company. Their employees get paid salaries that are more than what they can get in an open market. And a great benefits package. And if you fit in, you will love the culture here. So great salary, benefits and a good culture. And the work life balance is fantastic. Their recruitment process is tough, and they will not be hire unless it is a perfect personality match. Employees end up with better sales and business development skills. There is something very fun about this company. It is almost like a campfire environment. Most people have kids, and the company makes accommodations for their life, as long as they can manage their work.

Cons

Their sales are really weak in the US. As for any small consulting firm, sales revenues drive the company 100%. They do not have aggressive sales people that can generate a few additional million each year in revenue. They look to their staff for sales, and it can put some pressure on the consultants. They have their favorites, and some of the employees can feel very unwelcome. The consulting teams tend to work in cliques and this can result in brain drain. Most of their engagements tend to be clerical/administrative and not very innovative. It might be part of their business model. They also lack good internal processes - whether it be engagement frameworks or HR. When there is a situation, there is no expert.

Pros

Generally, a fantastic place to work - Work is varied and challenging, offering plenty of opportunity to make a difference on interesting projects - Emphasis is put on the quality of deliverables and "making the client look good" which ensures a satisfied customer base - The staff selection process is very strict meaning the vast majority of the workforce are smart and motivated - a cut above the average which adds to attraction - Despite impressive growth the company still manages to maintain a close-knit and intimate feel - Staff are well supported by partners and peers whilst out on client engagements - Good social life with monthly and annual social activities, some open to partners and families - Although not quite up to the salaries at some of our clients, the compensation package is very competitive

Cons

- Although there are active plans to address regional variations, some do still exist and work may not be as interesting for staff outside of the UK - Being a small company with a fairly flat structure, the opportunities for structured career development can feel a little limited - if doing satisfying work isn't sufficient then this may not be for you - Core focus continues to be on Financial Services which has a badly tainted reputation these days (bankers rate lower than traffic wardens and war criminals in most polls) and can't boast to be at the cutting edge of technology anymore either. - General staff are not offered share options
