Pros

Great medical and dental benefits! Good employer if you are union.

Cons

If you prefer to live securely in the current economy, Clark PUD is not for you. Unless you are a Director or higher, in which case you will make around 30-40% higher than your next junior subordinate (while other management positions actually make less than all, or nearly all, of their union subordinates). This company's idea of a promotion is a huge pay cut alongside a dump-truck load of increased stress and responsibility. The Director of HR is a champion for underpaying critical employees while blaming it on salary surveys (an inept attempt at gaining comparable salaries from incomparable and significantly smaller utility positions). And it doesn't matter how hard you work or how well you perform, you will *never* be paid higher than mid-point of the salary range.

Pros

The job is only offered to college students. This is quite interesting because one is always surrounded by peers of their own age, all with the pursuit of higher education. An overall fun work environment.

Cons

Manual labor job that can be hot and sweaty. Most of the crew is male which could make the job uncomfortable for some.
