Bad experience from start to finish

Pros

- Met some talented people

Cons

- There was tension across the organisation, and a lack of collaboration between teams. - Management severely lacks Revenue experience - There’s a mindset from Founders that they know best, and a reluctance to support new ideas. - Lack of People/HR department leaves you feeling isolated and exposed as an employee - Isolated during the offboarding process, and my departure was no communicated to teammates. - Huge attrition rate across the teams

Hi - I know your review was posted earlier this year, but I wanted to respond with an update on what’s happened since that time. I think it’s fair to say the Cloudsmith founders were listening! They’ve brought me (an American) in as CEO, and numerous other key leaders have joined in recent months. As I noted in another review, we’re working on creating a more collaborative environment, with more frequent cross-department and company-wide updates. I also agree on the need for a proper People function, which I plan to put in place in the relatively near future. It’s good to see this feedback (even from before my time as CEO) and I’m open to discussing more at ceo@cloudsmith.com. –Glenn

Great place to work

Pros

Great team, manangement care about staff. Opportunities to affect change in all aspects of the business. Tech budget for own kit, dental/health plan, really interesting problems to solve, with brilliant minds to support.

Cons

Remote! It's nice to avoid a morning commute, but getting facetime with teams is greatly missed.

As you'll know, Remote working is new to us now more than ever and we have recently been trying to embed the weekly face to face catch ups and social aspect of work and life balance alongside the ever-changing restrictions - we promise we'll get better at it! :)

Very busy but great experience

Pros

Really great team here. Everyone is very friendly and the whole team has a very "let's do it together" attitude. A bunch of really clever people. The product is really amazing and with the right marketing and partnerships has the potential to be an essential tool in SaaS. It's also really well built internally and there is a lot of room to pivot if any scaling issues bubble up. The leadership level has the right blend of attitude and aptitude.

Cons

It's a startup so of course very busy. A lot of people are new and the codebase is big so there's some time required to get up to speed, although management is aware and trying to help where possible.
