Good camaraderie with staff based on the fact that everything is so chaotic, gallows humour keeps things ticking over

Cons

No Mentoring, massive workload, huge staff turnover and the work of exiting staff just gets handed to whoever is unlucky enough to get it, projects massively understaffed, PMs are required to handle every aspect of projects with understaffed (or non existent) design and commercial departments too swamped to help, continuously pulled from one area to the next to help out depending on what needs to be pulled out of a hole on any particular day or hour,crazy place, its only after you leave you realise how mad it is.

Long hours, work-life balance takes a hit (virtually non-existent), some aspects of contract not fulfilled during employment and only told these wouldn't be adhered to after signing contract (i.e. fuel card, company vehicle), no firm idea of what project/site you will be based at next, pushed from pillar to post on some occassions, carrying out roles/tasks outwith job spec., difficult to deal with suppliers on various occasions whilst on-site as accounts are on hold/stop, this means important deadlines can be missed.

No structure, no rigor, no organisation: a real mess. Total absence of work/life balance, you basically spend your whole life working for them. Management team constituted of pure lunatics. You genuinely wonder if you are not working for the crime syndicate.
